Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Integration via API

After logging in with your administrator account, click on the profile icon in the upper-right corner and navigate to User Settings.

On the User Settings page, copy your User OCID (shown near the top of the page, with a "Copy" link next to it). You will need this later as Logsign's User OCID field.

Next, scroll down to the Resources section on the lower-left side and click on API Keys. Then, select Add API Key.

In the window that appears, go to the Generate API Key Pair section and download the Private Key file. This .pem file will be required during the data source configuration process, as Logsign's Private Key File field.

After downloading the key, click Add and make sure to copy and securely store the details shown on the screen: this is your Fingerprint value, needed for Logsign's Fingerprint field.

You will also need two values that are not shown on this screen:

  • Tenancy OCID: go to the profile icon > Tenancy (or Administration > Tenancy Details), and copy the OCID shown there. This is a separate value from the User OCID above; do not use the same value for both fields.
  • Region: the region identifier for the OCI region your tenancy resources are in (for example us-ashburn-1 or eu-frankfurt-1), shown in the region selector at the top of the OCI console. Use the short identifier, not the display name.

Once you have entered all the required details and uploaded the downloaded .pem file, the data source setup will be complete. Logs should begin flowing shortly after.

In Logsign USO (Settings > Data Collection > +Device > API > Oracle Cloud Infrastructure), the fields correspond as follows:
