MIMECAST Email Gateway API / Logsign Configuration

Overview

Mimecast's Secure Email Gateway and Integrated Cloud Email Security solutions safeguard organizations against all forms of email compromise, including zero-day attacks.

Prerequisites

  • All Logsign versions support this integration.   

Settings

Forwarding settings are completed as follows:

  1. Log in to the Mimecast Administration portal.
  2. Go to Administration > Account > Account Settings.
  3. In Account Settings, go to Enhanced Logging and choose the type of logging required to enable it.
    Inbound: Logs for messages from external senders to internal recipients.
    Outbound: Logs for messages from internal senders to external recipients.
  4. After choosing the required log type, select Save.
  5. Then, go to Administration > Services > API and Platform Integrations.
  6. In the API and Platform Integrations, select Add API Application to create a new API application.
  7. In the Add API Application, the following steps must be completed:
    • Specify the Application Name.
    • Select the required Category from the drop-down list.
    • Select the Enable Extended Session check box for Service Application.
    • Specify the appropriate Description.
  8. Define the Developer name and Email address.
  9. In the Summary part, click Add. Please save the Application ID and Application Key.

After these steps are completed, User Association Key creation will be explained.

  1. Go to API Application from the application list.
  2. Click the Create Keys button, and the Create Keys wizard displays the selected Account tab.
  3. Click Next to go to the Verification tab and a verification code will be sent via SMS.
  4. Click Next to go to the Keys tab, which displays the generated keys that are hidden by default.
  5. Save the Access Key and Secret Key values for later use.

Configure On Logsign Unified SecOps Platform

  1. Login to your Logsign Unified SecOps Platform UI.
  2. Click Settings > Data Collection > +Device.
  3. Define the settings as follows:
    • Select the API > Mimecast - Email Gateway
    • Access Key: Define the Access Key.
    • Secret Key: Define the Secret Key.
    • App ID: Define the App ID.
    • App Key: Define the App Key.
    • Base URL: Define the Base URL.
