Introduction
This article explains Logsign's dashboard library and how predefined dashboards support security analytics.
Security Analytics with Dashboards
Logsign turns collected events into meaningful reports and, at the same time, lets you analyze the same data on visual objects such as charts, tables, and maps.
Dashboards are the place to analyze events visually. You can install the predefined dashboards that ship with Logsign as a library, or create your own. On the Dashboards page, click the menu (hamburger) icon on the left side of the dashboard header. A drop-down opens that lists the installed dashboards grouped by category; click a category to expand it and select a dashboard to open it.
Installation of Predefined Dashboards
At the bottom of the same drop-down, click Configure to open the Dashboard Management page, then switch to the Install tab. (The Add button next to it creates a new, empty dashboard instead.) The Install tab lists the predefined dashboards in the library, grouped by category. Click the + button on a category header to install the whole category with all of its dashboards, or click + next to a single dashboard to install only that one through the Install Dashboards window. Items that are already installed show a disabled Installed button.
The content of the library is not fixed. New predefined dashboards are added with product and library updates, so the list you see depends on your version. Opening Dashboard Management requires the dashboard edit permission (set_dashboard) in the user's role.
