Roles

The Settings > Accounts and Views > Roles page lets you delegate tasks to users by defining roles with specific permissions. This page is available to administrator accounts.

To create a role, click the Role button at the top of the page. Enter a Description for the role (this is the name shown in the role list; only letters, digits, spaces and the characters _ . - / are accepted), then turn on the permissions the role needs for each feature. Most features offer Read, Set (edit) and Delete permissions. Reports also have an Export permission, while Search and Stats only have Read. Turning on Set, Delete or Export also turns on Read for the same feature. When Settings is turned on, permissions for individual settings pages (Responses, Alert Rules, Buckets, Action Rules, Identities, Assets, Data Collection, Fieldsets, Mini Queries, White List, Location Services, Tags and others) become available. Click Save to store the role.

Each role in the list has Apply, edit and delete buttons. Click Apply to choose which existing objects the role can access.
