With the Data Transfer Tools feature, you can back up your Archives, Signed Logs, or Config Backups from Logsign USO to any server using either FTP (default port 21) or Rsync over SSH (port 22).
All you need to do is go to Settings > Data Management > Data Transfer Tools, click Add New Tool and enter the backup server details. Select the Type (FTP or Rsync), fill in Host, Username, Password, Port and Destination Directory, then choose what to send with Save Archive, Save Signed Logs and Save Config Backup. Leave Active checked so the tool is included in the daily transfer.
When the type is Rsync, you are also required to provide a Source Directory (test). The connection test copies this directory to the destination server, so make sure it contains only a small number of files; otherwise, the test connection may take a long time.
Once you enter the necessary information and click Test Connection, the message Connection test successful! means the server is reachable with these settings. Click Create to save the tool.
The transfer then runs automatically once a day at the hour selected in the Run Time field (03:00 to 23:00, default 05:00), based on your server’s local time. If the nightly maintenance tasks are still running at that hour, the transfer starts after they finish. The result of the latest run is shown in the Last Run Time column of the tool list.
