Network Discovery Feature Introduction
With the newly added Network Discovery module, you can easily identify active systems in your network, detect their operating systems, and include desired systems in your monitoring workflow.
How Does It Work?
Starting Discovery
You can initiate network discovery by clicking the Start Discovery button located at the top right corner.
In the pop-up window
Network IP Address: Enter the starting IP address of the network range to be scanned (e.g., 10.10.2.0).
Subnet Mask: Define the size of the network (e.g., /24 → 254 hosts).
Starting discovery will clear existing discovery results.
Scanning Process
The top section displays the Last Run Time and a progress bar indicating the completion percentage.
Discovered IP addresses and their estimated operating systems are listed during the scan.
OS detection accuracy is shown as a percentage in parentheses (e.g., %96).
Action Buttons
Each IP address row provides two action options:
Add
Clicking this button will redirect you to the resource addition screen to mark the corresponding system as an active source in your environment.
Ignore
Clicking this option excludes the system from the discovery list and visually fades it out to prevent confusion (see example below).
Revoke Option
If a previously ignored system needs to be re-included, you can use the Revoke option to reverse the action. The “Add” button will become active again.
Search by IP
You can use the search bar above the list to filter and find specific IP addresses.
