Overview
VMware vCenter is advanced server management software that provides a centralized platform for controlling your VMware vSphere environments, allowing you to automate and deliver a virtual infrastructure across the hybrid cloud with confidence.
Prerequisites
- Logsign 6.3.+ versions support this integration.
Configure On Logsign
Important Note: In this section, Logsign configuration will be explained, but the user to be used in Vcenter must have power on, reset, power off privileges.
Forwarding settings are completed as follows:
- Click Settings > Integrations > Responses.
- In the ‘Search’ part, write Vcenter.
- Click ‘Configure’ and then click ‘+Device’.
- Define the settings as follows:
- Device Name: Define the Device Name.
- Host: The IP address of the Vcenter device/product to be integrated with Logsign.
- Username: Specify the user you have defined in Vcenter.
- Password: Specify the password you have defined in Vcenter.
- Click Create to save the changes.
Methods
VM-POWERON
- Device: Select the configuration you have configured.
- Vm: Define the virtual machine you want to power on.
VM-RESET
- Device: Select the configuration you have configured.
- Vm: Define the virtual machine you want to reset.
VM-POWEROFF
- Device: Select the configuration you have configured.
- Vm: Define the virtual machine you want to power off.
