Mail - Response Integration

Overview

In this document, how Logsign mail integration is done will be explained. By this means, the mail integration, instant notification is provided via e-mail for the threat that may occur. An email account setting on a Windows device can be configured using Email settings.

Prerequisites

  • All Logsign versions support this integration.

Configure on Logsign

Forwarding settings are completed as follows:

  1. Click Settings > Integrations > Responses.
  2. In the ‘Search’ part, write Mail.
  3. Click ‘Configure’ and then click ‘+Device’.

     4. Define the settings as follows: 

  • Device Name: Define the Device Name.
  • Use SMTP Authentication: Check that option in order to activate Logsign to send email alerts by using an account to be authenticated on your SMTP server.
  • SMTP Port: According to your SMTP server, you can enter the corresponding port.
  • Use TLS: If your SMTP server uses TLS for security, you need to check this option. If it is using SSL, you will have to uncheck it. Please make sure that the port number is correct according to these security profiles.
  • SMTP Server: The IP or hostname of your SMTP server.
  • From Mail: The email address that will be used to send the email alerts. If you're not going to use SMTP authentication, this field must contain the relay user mail address.
  • Username: Username for the SMTP account to be used.
  • Password: Password for that account.

     5. Click Submit to save the changes.

  • Device: Select the configuration you have configured.
  • Method: In this field, the send method is selected for sending messages.
  • To Users: You can select the users you want to send mail.
  • To Others: You can select the other users you want to be sent mail.
  • Subject: Type the subject for the mail you want to send.
  • Content: Type the content for the mail you want to send.
